About this role

We are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to ensure our school remains a secure, safe and hygenic space for all pupils, staff and visitors.

George Pindar School is an 11-16 secondary school situated in Scarborough. We are a proud and inclusive community where colleagues are #proudtobepindar and where we are looking confidently to the future. The school is oversubscribed in Years 7 and 8, reflecting the strength of our provision and the trust placed in us by our community.

We have the highest aspirations for our students: to strive for success, achieve their very best, and grow both as individuals and as valued members of society. The development of the whole child is central to our vision, and we are committed to ensuring that every student at George Pindar thrives, irrespective of their background. Working together as #TeamPindar, we promote our PINDAR values and benefit from strong collaboration with colleagues across the Heartwood Learning Trust to continually enhance all aspects of our school.

In this role you will manage our school grounds, carrying out daily security checks, locking and unlocking the buildings, handling porterage and deliveries, and carrying out essential minor maintenance and repairs. Safety is at the heart of everything we do; you will be responsible for conducting informal risk assessments, managing COSHH-regulated materials safely, and welcoming contractors onto the site. If you are a strong communicator who is deeply committed to health and safety, data protection, and safeguarding the welfare of young people, we would love to welcome you to our supportive team.

To thrive in this role, you will be a self-motivated and highly punctual professional who takes immense pride in their work. We are looking for someone with experience in general cleaning, caretaking and minor repairs alongside a strong awareness of health and safety protocols.
