Description of Post
The Department of Sport, Exercise & Nutrition delivers undergraduate programmes in Sport & Exercise Science, Sports Coaching and Public Health Nutrition, with plans for further programmes.
The department has a range of successful postgraduate taught programmes running as well as conducting research to PhD level in several fields. The successful candidate will help deliver modules on these programmes programme while contributing to the development of new courses and research practice in the Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a lecturer to join a vibrant, enthusiastic team within the School of Health, Sport Science & Nutrition and play a role in the on-going developments within the school. As well as the requisite technical skills, results from teamwork, demonstrable skills in project management and most importantly, empathy for learners, should all be evident in the track record of the candidate.
Essential Qualifications
An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in Sport & Exercise Science / Sports Coaching or a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent. Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
