Apart from assisting and advising clients on matters in the UAE, ALN UAE enjoys a close working relationship with major law firms in India, giving the firm the ability to provide effective support to clients undertaking transactions in India The firm is also well placed to assist clients who use the UAE as a hub for doing business in Africa, Asia and the GCC. The firm also has a dedicated Africa desk working with Africa’s leading group of law firms: ALN (aln.africa). Position Summary

We are seeking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our office and handling essential People & Culture matters. The ideal candidate will be the backbone of our team, ensuring a smooth workflow and providing excellent support to both staff and management cutting across our three business lines (Anjarwalla, Collins & Haidermota, Silver Tulip and Adil Zone).

The key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

HR Support

• HR Alignment • Act as the liaison between the Dubai office and the People and Culture department in Nairobi. • In liaison with the Nairobi People & Culture team develop people plans that support the needs of the office. • Ensure compliance to the relevant employment and other related laws in Dubai. • Act as a trusted advisor to the Firm’s Partners/HoDs and ensure they have the right information for HR related decisions.

• Recruitment, Selection and Placement • In liaison with the Nairobi People & Culture team, ensure a robust and relevant talent acquisition strategy that will ensure the Firm always acquires the best talent. • Identify future talent needs and proactively source and develop a talent repository for current and future AC&H people needs. • Support the end-to-end recruitment process including sourcing, initial assessments, interviews, and contracting.

• Performance Management • Work with performance managers to ensure the performance management cycle including goal setting, performance reviews and the performance improvement process are well established and adhered to. • Working with line managers and staff to drive effective continuous conversations on performance. • Proactively work with line managers to handle any performance concerns, providing the relevant support to staff. • Working closely with the regional team to empower staff and their managers on the performance management process and skills required for an effective process.

• Other People & Culture duties • Manage all employee relations issues objectively and in a timely manner, escalating where appropriate. • Stay up-to-date and advise the management on HR trends and best practices in the region. • Drive employee engagement working closely with the regional teams to promote the integration agenda. • Maintain up to date employee records and support the work permit applications and renewals for expatriates in the Firm.

Office Management

• Oversee daily office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities.

• Manage office administrative responsibilities such as desk/sitting space allocation and parking slots allocation.

• Maintain a professional and organised work environment.

• Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for staff.

• Manage office budget and ensure timely payments to vendors.

• Provide administrative support to staff and management.

• Coordinate annual medical insurance renewal.

• Organise and coordinate partner travels including flight, hotel bookings and visa applications.

The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Experience and personal qualities

• A degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or a related field.

• 5-7 years’ experience in a Human Resources and Admin role in reputable organisation and preferably have worked for at least two years in a mid-management position.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Self- driven individual with the ability to multitask and handle varied moving parts.

• The ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with different stakeholders.

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
