General Production Worker$22 Job DescriptionThis role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by performing a variety of production, packaging, and material-handling tasks on fast-paced lines. You will work across different production areas to keep lines running smoothly, ensure products are properly packaged, and support machine operators with changeovers and setups. The position requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities

• Pack finished products into boxes directly from the production line with speed and accuracy. • Load and unload materials from production lines to keep operations running continuously. • Gather and stage raw materials and supplies needed for production runs. • Monitor lines and quickly unclog jams to minimize downtime and maintain flow. • Cap bottles and ensure closures are secure and meet quality standards. • Trim excess plastic from bottles and components to achieve a clean, finished appearance. • Work in different production areas as needed, including trimming, filling, and other line tasks. • Lift bags and other materials safely as part of daily material-handling duties. • Wrap pallets of finished product securely for storage or shipment. • Support machine operators with changeovers and setups to prepare lines for new products or runs. • Inspect products visually during handling to identify obvious defects or issues. • Stay active and engaged on the lines throughout the shift, with no prolonged standing in one place. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. • Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues that may impact production or quality. Essential Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with machine operating or line work in production. • Proven ability to perform changeovers and setups on production or packaging equipment. • Comfort working in an incredibly fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality. • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move continuously throughout the entire shift. • Basic troubleshooting skills to recognize and respond to line issues such as jams. • Strong attention to detail when packing, trimming, and inspecting products. • Reliability in adhering to assigned shift schedules (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift). Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
