Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability and maximize uptime. You will perform predictive and precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical and electrical issues before equipment fails, ensuring operations equipment runs at optimal performance levels to meet customer demand. You will partner closely with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, support production goals through a strong quality maintenance program, and consistently follow all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. The position requires flexibility to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability and uptime. • Perform predictive and precision maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical and electrical defects before equipment failure. • Maintain operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels and support customer demand. • Collaborate with operations associates to identify, prioritize, and schedule maintenance needs. • Follow all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in the safety program. • Support and help achieve production, waste reduction, and quality goals through consistent and effective maintenance practices. • Conduct preventive maintenance in accordance with established PM schedules to minimize unplanned downtime. • Troubleshoot and repair issues involving bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors. • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable machine operation. • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical/mechanical schematics to guide maintenance and repair work. • Work with industrial controls, including PLCs, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution systems, and industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature. • Program and adjust variable frequency drives (VFDs) to optimize equipment performance. • Service and maintain corrugator equipment such as Marquip Ward, MHI, Fosber, and E&L machinery, as applicable. • Be willing and able to work any shift and perform holiday, weekend, and overtime work as needed to support plant operations. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR an Associate’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical field. • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors. • Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems. • Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. • Experience working with industrial controls, including PLCs, motor controls, control valves, electrical distribution, and industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, and temperature. • Experience programming variable frequency drives (VFDs). • Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to established PM schedules. • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Willingness and ability to work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required. • Why Work Here?This is a direct-hire opportunity offering stable, long-term employment in a well-established manufacturing organization. As with many production environments, temperatures can be warm in the summer and cooler in the winter, and the area can become loud when machines are running. The role is performed on-site around operating equipment, requiring consistent attention to safety protocols and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. The schedule may involve multiple shifts, with the need to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as production demands. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Manitowoc, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64580.00 - $85280.00/yr.
