About this role

Job Title: Vehicle Assembly TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling component parts into completed vehicle units according to precise blueprint specifications and design tolerances. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to build both larger vehicles and smaller carts, perform minor equipment adjustments and repairs, and ensure all finished units meet quality standards through detailed inspections. The position requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a strong commitment to meeting production performance goals. Responsibilities • Assemble component parts into completed vehicle units in strict accordance with blueprint specifications and design tolerances. • Meet established performance standards by completing larger vehicles at a rate of approximately 3–4 per month and smaller carts at a rate of about 7 per day. • Perform minor adjustments, repairs, and setups on assembly and production equipment to maintain smooth operation. • Inspect completed units using visual inspection techniques and measurement tools such as gauges, tape measures, fixtures, calipers, and other equipment to verify accuracy and quality. • Carry out a variety of assembly and production duties with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards. • Use hand tools and power tools, including wrenches, drills, and impact tools, during the assembly process. • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper assembly sequence and correct installation of all components. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines. Essential Skills • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Hands-on experience using a variety of hand tools, including wrenches and similar tools. • Hands-on experience using power tools such as drills and impact tools. • Proficiency using tape measures and other basic measuring devices to verify dimensions. • Prior assembly experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment. • Ability to perform visual inspections and use gauges, fixtures, calipers, and related equipment to confirm quality and compliance. • Capability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in general labor or production environments. • Comfort working with automotive-related tools and components. • Attention to detail and strong focus on meeting design tolerances and quality requirements. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established processes. • Willingness to learn and adapt to different assembly and production duties as needed. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a well-lit, climate-controlled warehouse designed to support comfort and productivity throughout the workday. Team members work with a range of hand and power tools, measurement devices, and inspection equipment in a structured production environment. Overtime is optional, with voluntary Saturday morning shifts available for those who wish to earn additional hours, supporting flexibility in scheduling while maintaining a stable, consistent work setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cartersville, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
