Diesel Truck Mechanic Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of heavy-duty diesel trucks. This role is responsible for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing repairs to maximize fleet uptime and reliability.Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks. • Diagnose and repair engine, brake, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems. • Troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. • Replace and repair components including motors, transmissions, and hydraulic parts. • Complete welding and fabrication repairs as needed. • Maintain accurate service and repair records. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications:

• 4+ years of diesel mechanic experience on trucks or heavy equipment. • Experience with diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulic systems. • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, brakes, and fleet maintenance. • Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred. • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented shop environment. • Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced setting. Preferred:

• Trade school certification in Diesel Technology or related field. • Experience with refuse, construction, agricultural, or heavy-duty fleet vehicles. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Modesto, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
