Job Title: Production Technician (2nd Shift)Job DescriptionThe primary responsibility of this role is to operate sewing machines to assemble bedding components. This involves working with glue and other materials to ensure proper bed assembly, encasing main foam components in fabric, and standing for extended periods of 8-12 hours per day while performing manual tasks.Responsibilities
• Operate sewing machines to assemble bedding components. • Work with glue and other materials to ensure proper bed assembly. • Encapsulate main foam components in fabric. • Monitor material output to ensure quality standards are met. • Lift materials weighing up to 75 lbs. • Execute prescribed repetitive processes to meet production and quality standards in a continuous flow manufacturing environment. • Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment. • Work in various process areas including Coiling, Foam Encasement, Assembly, Gluing, Sewing, Borders, Quilting, Closing, and Packing. Essential Skills
• Proficiency in assembly and operation of hand and power tools. • At least 3 years of assembly experience. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to read blueprints and drawings. • Proficient in using a tape measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to stand for extended periods. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
