Job Title: Electrical HelperJob DescriptionThe Electrical Helper will work independently to perform basic installation tasks, including running wire, installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures, setting boxes, pulling wire through conduit, and terminating circuits. The role requires the ability to read and work off simple electrical blueprints and understand circuit layouts. The Electrical Helper will also conduct device and circuit terminations, rough-in work, and basic conduit work while adhering to safety and code basics. Responsibilities • Perform basic installation tasks such as running wire and installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures. • Set boxes and make up devices; pull wire through conduit and terminate circuits. • Read and understand simple electrical blueprints and rough-in based on layout. • Make up outlets, switches, breakers, and land wires in the panel. • Identify neutral, grounds, and hots correctly. • Conduct rough-in work, including drilling, running wire, stapling, and supporting runs. • Layout devices, such as switches and receptacles. • Perform basic conduit work, including bending simple conduit 90s and offsets, running EMT for basic layouts, and properly mounting and securing conduit. • Understand safety and code basics, including lockout/tagout awareness and PPE requirements. Essential Skills • Electrical skills including conduit bending, wiring, and pulling wire. • Ability to run wire and install outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures. • Familiarity with construction, blueprint reading, and electrical wiring. • Proficient in pipe bending and running conduit. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 2+ years of commercial or residential construction experience. • Own hand and power tools. • In-field experience. Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of construction sites where tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various elements depending on the season. Employees use both hand and power tools, including cordless impact guns, drills, pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and measuring tools. Safety equipment such as hard hats, high visibility gear, safety glasses, and gloves is required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
