Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionThe General Production Worker will operate a forklift intermittently throughout the day, transport bags of colorant to the mixer, perform dig outs, and adjust straps on colorant bags.Responsibilities

• General production experience. • General labor skills. • Forklift operation experience is a plus but not required. • 6+ months of manufacturing experience preferred. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Experience in machine operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in cleanroom and production environments. • Machine operating skills. • Preferred candidates should have demonstrated good tenure at previous jobs, ideally at least 2 years with a company. Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a warehouse/manufacturing facility that can be considered a 'dirty' environment due to the presence of colored powder used in production. This powder does not stain, smell, or contain harmful ingredients, and employees can shower after their shift. Employees will start in building #1, the 'dirty' building. During busy seasons, work hours may extend to 10-12 hours per day, with shifts between 5 AM to 5 PM. Breaks include one paid 15-minute break, a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and an additional 15-minute break if working 10 hours. Personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, hard hats, safety goggles, ear plugs, masks, and uniforms are provided, including colorbiotics shirts for the first few days. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Ames, IA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
