Job Title: LoaderJob DescriptionThis role focuses on safely and efficiently loading trucks using ride-on electric pallet jacks, staging and labeling pallets according to shipping orders, and working in a fast-paced open bay environment on a second shift schedule. Responsibilities • Operate a ride-on double electric pallet jack safely and efficiently throughout the shift. • Visually inspect pallets to ensure they accurately match the corresponding shipping orders. • Stage pallets next to designated trucks in preparation for loading. • Manually adjust pallets as needed and place appropriate shipping labels on each pallet. • Load trucks using a ride-on electric pallet jack, ensuring pallets are positioned securely and correctly. • Use single, double, or triple electric pallet jacks to move and organize wrapped pallets. • Stage orders and load pallets into containers using electric pallet jacks according to shipping requirements. • Use an RF scanner to verify orders, track pallets, and confirm shipments. • Handle shipping labels accurately to ensure proper identification and routing of freight. • Support general warehouse and loading operations, maintaining a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills • Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a ride-on electric pallet jack. • At least 6 months of experience loading trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment. • Proficiency using single, double, and triple electric pallet jacks. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift. • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Experience staging orders and loading pallets in containers using electric pallet jacks. • Ability to safely handle wrapped pallets and maneuver them in tight spaces. • Basic familiarity with RF scanners for order verification and tracking. • Attention to detail when applying and checking shipping labels. • Understanding of safe forklift and material-handling practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience working in an open bay warehouse or distribution center environment. • Comfort working overnight or extended second shift hours. • Strong awareness of safety procedures, including proper use of steel-toe footwear and material-handling equipment. • Reliability and consistency in meeting shift schedules from Sunday through Thursday. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet loading and shipping deadlines. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an open bay warehouse environment where loading and staging activities take place around trucks and containers. Team members work on the second shift from approximately 6:00 p.m. until finish, which may be as late as 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Work involves continuous use of ride-on electric pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment, as well as RF scanners and shipping labels. The environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering wrapped pallets. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to ensure safety while working around heavy equipment and freight. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hialeah, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
