About this role

Job Title: Assembly TechJob DescriptionThis assembler role focuses on producing high-quality, lightweight, and durable fiberglass components for utility, service, and municipal vehicle applications. You will work on a production line in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools to assemble and finish composite products while consistently meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards.Responsibilities

• Follow the daily production schedule and consistently achieve assigned production goals. • Assemble products so they conform to all specifications and quality standards. • Prevent and minimize rework by following proper procedures and checking work carefully. • Perform standard operating procedures for production and inspection functions as directed. • Return from breaks on time and notify your supervisor or lead before leaving the department. • Accurately complete all required production and inspection paperwork. • Attend all department and company meetings as scheduled. • Work your assigned shift reliably and consistently. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times. • Immediately report all accidents, safety concerns, and equipment deficiencies to your supervisor or lead. • Verify that safety devices are installed and functioning properly before operating equipment. • Suggest improvements and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support activities. • Perform all duties in strict accordance with company safety standards and procedures. • Use hand and power tools, including grinders and tape measures, to complete assembly and finishing tasks. • Collaborate closely with the department supervisor and team members to meet production targets. • Participate in cross-training within the department to support a flexible team environment. • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed to support production operations. Essential Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. • Ability to perform repetitive functions while maintaining accuracy and quality. • Ability to adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements. • Ability to accept direction from supervisors and leads. • Strong communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors. • Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment. • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision once trained. • Excellent attendance and strong attention to detail. • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Ability to use a tape measure accurately for production tasks. • At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, welding, grinding, or fiberglass work. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Assembly line experience is preferred. • Experience with MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel is beneficial for welding openings. • Experience working with fiberglass materials and using grinders is beneficial for fiberglass openings. • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and contribute to a team mentality. • Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple tasks within the department. • Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. You will work closely with the department supervisor and as part of a cross-trained team. The facility has a distinct smell associated with fiberglass and manufacturing processes, and you will regularly use hand and power tools, tape measures, grinders, and related equipment. The shift includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch at 11:30 a.m. On your first day, you will receive safety training and orientation with the safety manager, including review of safety procedures and facility practices. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, organization, and teamwork, with clear expectations around punctuality, communication, and adherence to safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pocahontas, IA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
