About this role

Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThis role focuses on setting up and operating LANG CNC engraving and milling machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will load and verify CNC programs, interpret technical documentation, select appropriate tooling and materials, and ensure that all finished products meet strict dimensional and cosmetic standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, consistent documentation of production and quality activities, and adherence to established safety and manufacturing procedures.Responsibilities

• Set up and operate LANG CNC engraving and milling machines for production runs. • Load, verify, and run CNC programs according to work orders and specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements. • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job. • Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. • Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits to optimize machining processes. • Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and engraving depth. • Confirm cosmetic quality of engraved and machined parts and ensure compliance with quality standards. • Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation for all jobs completed. • Troubleshoot machine issues, identify root causes, and escalate more complex repairs to appropriate personnel. • Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition. • Follow all established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures throughout daily operations. Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC machine operation experience preferred. • Hands-on experience with engraving, milling, routing, machining, tooling, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately. • Familiarity with G-Code and CNC controls used in machining operations. • Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools. • Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to producing high-quality work. • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate machine software and related interfaces. • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic machine and process issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a facility that uses rotary dies and tooling is beneficial. • Comfort working in a precision manufacturing environment with a focus on repeatability and tight tolerances. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work orders accurately. • Strong organizational skills for maintaining production and quality records. • Reliable work habits and the ability to work independently once trained. Work is typically performed on the shop floor in standard production shifts, requiring appropriate attire for a machining and manufacturing setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Apex, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
