Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionJoin our team as a forklift operator in a dynamic brick plant environment. This role involves working rotating first shifts, providing a variety of experiences throughout the workweek. Responsibilities • Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and products to and from designated locations. • Load and unload materials manually as needed. • Maintain a safe and clean work area to prevent personal injury and property damage. • Use proper safety equipment and follow procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO). • Learn other jobs and fill in as necessary. Essential Skills • Experience with forklift operation and machine operation. • Proficiency with hand tools and RF scanners. • Ability to handle materials, load, and unload. • Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management. • Capability in general labor, picking, and packing tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Ability to hop on and off the forklift efficiently. • Onsite forklift certification provided when applicable. Work EnvironmentThis role is within a brick masonry manufacturing setting, involving both indoor and outdoor work in non-climate controlled conditions. The environment is dusty and dirty, requiring the ability to work independently in varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, hard hat, and safety vest is mandatory. Expect to get your clothes dirty in this challenging but rewarding setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Madison, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36400.00 - $36400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
