Job Title: CNC Machinist/Programmer - 1st shift up to $45/hr! Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer who will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Haas milling machines and 5-axis lathe machines. This role involves creating custom parts per order in a job shop environment, including making program edits using G&M codes and potentially using CAD/CAM or GibbsCAM. The machinist will handle tooling changes, adjust machine speeds and feeds, and inspect parts using various measuring tools.Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC Haas milling machines and 5-axis lathe machines. • Perform 10-30 machine setups per day, with each setup taking approximately 10-15 minutes. • Edit and create programs using G&M codes; 70% of programs are pre-written, with 30% requiring edits at the machine. • Make tooling changes and adjust machine speeds and feeds as needed. • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and gauge pins. • Check parts against blueprints to ensure accuracy. • Perform mathematical calculations including fractions, decimals, and measurements. • Utilize machine controls including the person and Haas. Essential Skills
• At least 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming. • Proficiency in understanding G&M codes. • Experience using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Strong shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, and tape measure reading. • Ability to hold tolerances at +/- 0.1. • Blueprint reading skills. • Capability to set up CNC machines, complete tooling changes, adjust speeds and feeds, and edit programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with CAD/CAM or GibbsCAM programming. • Experience with Mazatrol controls. • Experience in job shop environments. • Experience with mills, Haas, or the person is a plus.
