About this role

Job Title: Turret OperatorJob DescriptionThe Turret Operator will work on the 2nd shift in a fast-paced, climate-controlled industrial manufacturing environment, operating CNC turret and related equipment to produce high-quality parts for the data center industry. The role focuses on independently setting up machines, interpreting blueprints, and meeting tight production deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Operate CNC turret machines and related equipment such as laser, punch press, or press brake to produce parts according to specifications. • Independently set up machines, including tooling, programming parameters, and material loading, to ensure efficient and accurate production runs. • Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to complete tasks with precision and consistency. • Monitor machine operations, inspect parts, and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards and minimize defects. • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines and production schedules. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address production issues and improve processes. • Be flexible with overtime requirements to support production demands and customer needs. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience with CNC equipment such as laser, turret, punch press, or press brake. • Ability to autonomously set up CNC machines, including tooling and basic programming or parameter adjustments. • Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. • Comfort working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment with tight deadlines. • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as required. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts. • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in a climate-controlled manufacturing area. • Previous experience in production environments supporting high-growth industries such as data centers. • Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate effectively about equipment needs. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within a shift. • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality across set shift schedules. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility, with the assigned area of the plant being climate controlled for comfort and consistent working conditions. The work is performed on CNC equipment such as turret machines, lasers, punch presses, and press brakes. Shifts are structured as 1st shift (6:00am–2:00pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:00am), with this opening on the 2nd shift. The environment is fast-paced, focused on meeting tight deadlines, and requires flexibility for overtime to support production demands. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
