Job Title: Pipe Fitter ForemanJob DescriptionThis full-time Pipe Fitter Foreman role based in Knightdale, NC focuses on leading crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. You oversee the installation, coordination, and supervision of piping systems while maintaining strict safety, quality, and production standards. The position requires strong leadership, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings, and hands-on experience with pipe fitting and related construction activities.Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate pipefitters and helpers on-site to ensure work progresses safely and efficiently. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and isometric diagrams to guide installation and fabrication work. • Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure project schedules and production goals are met. • Install, fabricate, and assemble commercial and industrial piping systems according to project requirements and design documents. • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and manpower to support continuous workflow and minimize downtime. • Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations, company safety policies, and quality standards. • Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices with all crew members. • Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to align field activities with project objectives. • Troubleshoot installation and mechanical piping issues in the field and implement effective solutions. • Monitor crew productivity, provide guidance and training as needed, and support the professional development of team members. • Maintain clear communication regarding project status, challenges, and resource needs. • Adapt to varying jobsite conditions and support related construction activities such as HVAC installation and construction management when needed. Essential Skills
• At least 5 years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial environments. • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role preferred, leading crews and managing productivity. • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial piping systems, including mechanical piping. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and isometric diagrams. • Demonstrated experience supervising crews on construction projects and coordinating daily work activities. • Ability to install, fabricate, and assemble piping systems to meet project requirements and quality standards. • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and the ability to enforce safety policies on-site. • Reliable transportation and consistent, dependable attendance. • Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying jobsite conditions, including standing, bending, and working at heights as needed. • Experience with HVAC installation, construction management, and pipe fitting in industrial or commercial settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification is preferred. • Experience with welding and mechanical piping systems. • Experience working on commercial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or industrial construction projects. • Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors. • Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving installation issues in the field. • Effective communication skills to lead crews and collaborate across project teams. • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. • Ability to manage time, resources, and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. You regularly work in varying jobsite conditions, which may include indoor and outdoor settings, exposure to construction noise, and working at different elevations. The role requires the ability to lift 50+ pounds and use standard construction tools and equipment associated with pipe fitting, welding, and HVAC installation. Work attire typically consists of appropriate construction clothing and required personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and sturdy work boots, in alignment with company safety policies. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fayetteville, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
