Job Title: Maintenance Technician II – Mechanical & RoboticsJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician II supports the operations maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution machinery within a high-volume facility. This role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability and performance through effective troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs. Responsibilities • Support the operations maintenance team in maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment to ensure consistent and efficient operation. • Perform troubleshooting on mechanical and robotics-related systems to identify root causes of equipment issues. • Carry out corrective repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. • Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities on material handling and pneumatic systems. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with facility procedures. • Collaborate with operations and other maintenance personnel to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently. • Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on mechanical, pneumatic, and automated equipment. Essential Skills • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment. • Experience maintaining and repairing material handling equipment. • Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution machinery. • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems and their maintenance requirements. • Capability to support an operations maintenance team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving equipment issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working with automated and robotics-related equipment in an industrial or distribution setting. • Familiarity with structured maintenance processes, including inspections and preventive maintenance. • Ability to read and interpret basic equipment documentation and maintenance instructions. • Strong communication skills for coordinating work with operations and maintenance teams. • Commitment to following safety protocols when working with mechanical and pneumatic systems. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large, automated distribution facility that utilizes material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and robotics technology. Work is hands-on and performed on the floor around operating machinery, requiring adherence to safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced, with maintenance tasks scheduled around operational needs, which may include varied hours or shifts depending on facility requirements. Attire typically consists of practical workwear suitable for an industrial setting, along with any required safety gear. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
