Aerotek is hiring for Night Shift Warehouse Associates! This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.Job DescriptionThis night shift warehouse associate role offers a hands-on opportunity in one of the most physically demanding areas of the facility. You will handle a variety of general labor tasks including loading and unloading materials, cutting products to customer specifications, order picking, packing, shipping and receiving, and overall material handling. The position requires consistent strenuous physical labor throughout the shift in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and reliability.Responsibilities
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring materials are handled with care. • Lift, carry, move, and stack heavy materials throughout the warehouse on a regular basis. • Operate cutting equipment to process materials according to work orders and customer specifications. • Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment using RF scanners and other warehouse tools. • Perform picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks to support daily warehouse operations. • Verify product quantities against work orders and inspect materials for quality and damage before shipment or storage. • Use RF scanners and other equipment to track inventory and maintain accurate records. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to reduce risk and prevent injuries. • Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions accurately to meet production and shipping deadlines. • Work overtime as needed to support operational demands and ensure orders are completed on time. • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality, arriving on time for each shift and maintaining a consistent presence to support team performance. Essential Skills
• Previous experience in warehouse, loading, material handling, or manufacturing environments preferred. • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for the duration of the shift, including frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of heavy materials. • Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions accurately. • Strong work ethic with a high level of reliability and attention to detail. • Experience with general labor tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, unloading, and material handling. • Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and cutting equipment, in a safe and efficient manner. • Comfort using RF scanners or similar devices for order picking and inventory tracking. • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. • Excellent attendance and punctuality, with a strong commitment to arriving on time and maintaining a reliable attendance record. • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements. • Prior experience in shipping and receiving environments is an advantage. • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting is helpful. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors. • Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy work area and support efficient workflow. • Comfort working in non-temperature-controlled environments. • Demonstrated commitment to quality, including careful inspection of materials for damage and accuracy. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, DE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
