Job Title: Senior Project SchedulerJob DescriptionThe Senior Project Scheduler supports the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the aluminum beverage can manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining fully integrated project schedules that encompass engineering, procurement, fabrication, modular assembly, construction, commissioning, and startup activities. The Senior Project Scheduler works closely with project managers, engineering teams, construction management, fabrication facilities, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and in alignment with overall project objectives, including managing a master schedule and coordinating 10–15 subcontractor schedules. Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, modular assembly, construction, commissioning, and startup activities. • Create and manage a comprehensive master schedule and coordinate 10–15 subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with overall project milestones and deliverables. • Apply advanced project scheduling methodologies, including Critical Path Method (CPM), to identify key activities, dependencies, and potential schedule risks. • Support EPC and industrial construction projects by sequencing work logically and accurately to reflect construction, fabrication, and installation activities. • Analyze large and complex project schedules containing thousands of activities to assess progress, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions. • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, construction management, fabrication facilities, and subcontractors to gather schedule inputs and validate assumptions. • Integrate project controls practices into the schedule, including forecasting, resource loading, and cost loading, to support accurate project performance reporting. • Perform schedule risk analysis using appropriate tools and techniques to evaluate potential impacts and support mitigation planning. • Prepare and deliver clear schedule reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders, using tools such as Excel advanced reporting and Power BI where applicable. • Support the planning and scheduling of modular construction and off-site fabrication activities, particularly for high-speed manufacturing equipment installation. • Utilize construction management software platforms to track schedule updates, progress, and changes, ensuring data consistency and transparency. • Communicate schedule status, risks, and opportunities effectively to project stakeholders, providing recommendations to maintain or recover critical milestones. • Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling processes, standards, and templates to enhance project planning and controls across multiple projects. Essential Skills • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline. • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Primavera P6 schedules. • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for complex project scheduling and controls. • Experience supporting EPC, industrial construction, manufacturing, energy, process, or heavy industrial projects. • Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and construction sequencing. • Ability to analyze large, complex project schedules containing thousands of activities and derive meaningful insights. • Strong communication and presentation skills to convey schedule information to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Hands-on experience with project scheduling and construction scheduling in an industrial or heavy construction environment. • Knowledge and practical application of Critical Path Method (CPM) and forecasting in project schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience supporting aluminum can manufacturing facilities, packaging plants, food and beverage manufacturing, or consumer goods production facilities. • Experience with modular construction and off-site fabrication, including support for high-speed manufacturing equipment installation. • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) to integrate performance metrics with schedule data. • Working knowledge of resource loading and cost loading to support comprehensive project controls. • Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis techniques and tools. • Experience with Primavera Risk Analysis for advanced schedule and risk modeling. • Experience using Microsoft Project for project planning and scheduling. • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and schedule-related reporting. • Experience with Excel advanced reporting to build detailed schedule and performance reports. • Familiarity with construction management software platforms to manage schedule information and project documentation. • PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or AACE certifications preferred. Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a hybrid environment that includes onsite work at client job sites, onsite work at office or fabrication locations, and work-from-home flexibility. The typical pattern involves spending one week at the job site followed by one week working remotely, supporting both field and office-based project activities. The Senior Project Scheduler works with advanced scheduling and project controls technologies such as Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Excel, and various construction management software platforms. The environment is fast-paced and focused on delivering complex EPC projects in the aluminum beverage can manufacturing and related industrial sectors, requiring close collaboration with engineering, construction, and fabrication teams in both office and industrial facility settings. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Golden, CO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
