Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation and the 'Smart Together' Shared Service is embarking on an exciting transformation journey to develop common systems, processes and procedures and to embrace new ways of working to deliver procurement and efficiency solutions across South East London.
We now looking for an individual to join our team within the Performance Excellence function of the Procurement and Supply Chain department.
Main duties of the job
This role is to lead a cross-functional team to promote the performance of our service, overseeing the interface between the procurement and supply chain function and:
Clinical and Corporate Divisions through business partnering. Share services through business partnering Project management to deliver sustainable transformation and cost improvements with the department and working across the ICS High quality and impactful communication Improving policy and ensuring compliance Overall, this team will ensure that the function is seen as a trusted partner / advisor to play a key role in supporting our organisation to deliver world class patient care.
You will have top class interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills with extensive experience of management within the NHS and strong knowledge of NHS procedures, systems, legislation and policy.
The role requires a willingness to contribute a positive and enthusiastic attitude and the applicant must be reliable, pro-active and enjoy working as part of a busy team.

Smart Together is a shared procurement and supply chain service hosted by Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, one of the leading hospitals in the country and serve the hospitals across south east London. Smart Together currently provides its services to GSTT and 3 other NHS Trusts, namely, Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
Person Specification
Education and Qualifications Essential
Experience in business management, procurement or supply chain. Relevant management, leadership, analytics, performance, or project management qualifications.
Desirable
Relevant Masters degree or equivalent Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience Essential
Significant senior-level experience leading performance management functions, service improvement, transformation, and change programmes. Experience developing and implementing performance frameworks, KPIs, and dashboards. Experience providing performance reports and insights to Boards, Executives, and senior stakeholders. Experience managing teams and developing staff performance.
Knowledge Essential
Strong understanding of NHS performance management and governance. Knowledge of performance reporting methodologies and benchmarking. Highly developed knowledge of NHS procurement regulations and policies.
Skills & Abilities Essential
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability.
Leadership Essential
Evidence of leading multidisciplinary teams. Ability to build relationships across organisational boundaries. Experience delivering results through others and managing performance issues.
