Job summary
Vacancies have arisen for a Band 7 Advanced Cardiac Physiologist within Cardiothoracic Services at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board(C&V UHB).
The Cardiac Physiology Department is a vibrant and busy department providing tertiary services to South Wales.
We are looking for bright, keen and motivated individuals who are ready to take the next stage in their careers and join our Band 7 team deliveringcomprehensive EP , Cardiac Device Therapy, Cardiac Catheter Lab and Non-Invasive Diagnostics services.
Main duties of the job
There is a strong emphasis on professional development, with opportunities to gain high level skills and qualifications within the Electrophysiology, Cardiac Device (PPM/ICD/CRT), Cardiac Catheter Lab and Non-Invasive Services.
As part of our commitment to extended roles we currently run physiologist led clinics including -The Palpitations Clinic,Valve Screening Clinic,Cardiac Device follow-up clinics,Implantation of Injectable Loop recordersThe successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and work well within a team. The ability to cope in challenging situations ishighly desirable, although full support will be given.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

BSc Cardiac Physiology or equivalent and one of the following advanced level qualifications: IBHRE or BHRS or currently working towards. Documented CPD training and education. ILS

NVQ Level 4 in Leadership / Management or willing to work towards
Experience Essential
The ability and experience to cover a wide range of complex invasive and non-invasive procedures
