About this role

Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Support Workers to join our successful and friendly My Time Epsom service. In this role you'll be working with individuals in the planning and delivering of high quality activities based within the service and the local community.

My Time Epsom is a well-established day service for adults with learning disabilities, based in the Epsom area. The service is highly regarded within the community and continues to be extremely popular.

The service operates weekdays, Monday to Friday, providing a supportive and engaging environment that promotes independence, wellbeing, and meaningful activities for the people we support.

Main duties of the job

To promote, support and deliver meaningful activities and promote engagement with activities at all times within the service and in the wider community. To communicate effectively and appropriately with people who use The MyTime service. To attend to care needs identified within the care plan ensuring respect, privacy and dignity at all times. Help to maintain/develop relationships between individuals and their families/carers/others. To maintain the safety of people at all times, alerting senior staff to any identified risks whether perceived or actual. To work with individuals in a respectful and person centred way Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with line manager as part of the personal development planning process. To contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and Trust policies and to contribute to the prevention and control of health care associated infection by adhering to Trust policies and guidelines. Our record keeping is predominantly computer based so the candidate will need to be computer literate.

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire.
