Job summary
The candidate should have good communication and leadership skills. The ability to work within a busy team environment across 2 sites between the hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm.
Ability to manage reception area, telephone HUB, administration area and staff to ensure smooth running.
To answer busy telephone lines, to provide general assistance to patients and to the practice team as well as project a positive and friendly attitude.
To undertake general reception tasks & other administration duties.

Co-ordinate leave entitlement/short notice absence/clinical availability
Update appointments systems/updates
Provide induction training and ongoing reviews for staff
Ensure practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept
Identifying gaps and areas of improvement
Liaise with management team concerning staffing and organisation of work

We are a very busy practice which cares for a patient population of 13,000 patients
Our practice is led by 8 GP partners, 5 salaried GP's along with a full compliment of nursing, HCA and administration staff
We use SystemOne Clinical system
We are a training practice for Registrars, Medical Students and Student Nurses. We are also a research ready practice and actively take part in research.

Lead an effective and efficient reception and telephone service.
To be professional, courteous and efficient in a leadership capacity
Facilitate effective communication between patients, team members and clinical professionals
Schedule plan and chair meetings
Oversee weekly scheduled list and extension of clinical sessions on the computer
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical and management teams
