Clinical Psychologist / Family Therapist in CYP eating disorders
We are seeking an experienced clinical psychologist/ family therapist to join NELFT's well established core CEDS team. The role is fixed term for 10mths to provide maternity leave cover. This role supports the delivery of high-quality patient care to children and young people with an eating disorder. The post holder will work closely with MDT colleagues to ensure services run smoothly and efficiently.

Deliver day-to-day specilaist psychological interventions to CYP with an eating disorder. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support service delivery. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Trust policies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives. This fixed term, maternity cover, post is a great opportunity to work with children, young people and their families as part of the well-established and innovative lifespan eating Disorder Service in North East London NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a skilled pschologist / family therapist to join our highly skilled, dedicated and friendly team to work primarily with children and young people and their family and carers. We are seeking an individual who has an interest in working in eating disorders and is passionate about delivering good quality, patient-led, care to young people and families.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for managing their own workload, prioritising tasks effectively, and ensuring deadlines are met. They will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to high standards. The role may involve working across multiple sites and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).

Qualifications Essential
Appropriate qualification according to profession of BSc in Psychology MSc in Systemic Family Therapy or Doctorate in Clinical Counselling Psychology Accreditation by UKCP, HCPC or other appropriate accrediting body. Clinical Experience working with service users with eating disorders disorder

Experience of working with a wide variety of service user groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings including outpatient, community, primary care, in-patient and residential care settings Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for service users psychological care and treatment within the context of multidisciplinary care plan Experience of assessing and treating service users across the full range of care settings Experience of representing psychological therapy within the context of multi-disciplinary care Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision
