This is an exciting new opportunity for a Support Medical Secretary, 37.5 hours to be worked over 5 days Mon-Fri, working at Sandwell Health Campus.Under the guidance of our admin team leaders, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive admin support to our medical secretarial team, which will be focused on the ED consultants and medical team in ensuring the delivery of effective care and administration services, including day-to-day administration tasks such as dealing with correspondence, reports, letters, and memos and using various hospital systems.
We would welcome applications from candidates who do not hold Level 3 Business Administrator qualification, as this is something that could be offered during employment.
Main duties of the job
Providing admin support to Medical Secretaries Using numerous hospital IT systems Dealing with patient queries via emails and phone calls Sending reports and clinical data to GPs To undertake general admin duties, typing/photocopying/filing. To provide any regular reports as required by the medical secretaries/team leader Working unsupervised/with minimal support

Qualifications Essential
GCSE English Garde A-C or equivalent-to include English Language and Maths RSA Stage II or equivalent, NVQ III or equivalent in relevant area (i.e. business administration)
Desirable
RSA Stage II ECDL
Experince Essential
Previous secretarial experience, including diary management.
Desirable
Previous database experience Experience within NHS or similar setting
