An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy Department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust as a Pharmacy Invoicing and Procurement Senior Assistant Technical Officer (ATO). This is an ideal role for an organised, motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with financial information, procurement systems and suppliers whilst supporting the delivery of safe and effective patient care. The post is based within the Pharmacy Procurement and Stores Team and plays a vital role in ensuring medicines are purchased efficiently, suppliers are paid accurately and stock is available when patients need it.You will join a forward-thinking Pharmacy team that places patient care, continuous improvement and staff wellbeing at the heart of everything it does.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with pharmacy, finance and procurement colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing medicine orders and invoices, resolving supplier queries, monitoring stock levels and supporting the day-to-day management of pharmacy purchasing activities. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. You will liaise regularly with suppliers, wholesalers, finance teams and healthcare professionals to ensure medicines are supplied in a timely and cost-effective manner whilst maintaining compliance with Trust policies and financial procedures.This is a varied and rewarding position that offers the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge of NHS medicines procurement, stock control and financial processes. The role is ideally suited to someone with administrative, procurement, invoicing or finance experience who is looking to build a long-term career within NHS Pharmacy. Full training will be provided, including the use of pharmacy stock management and ordering systems, enabling the successful applicant to develop valuable skills within a supportive and experienced team environment.If you have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and a desire to contribute to the efficient delivery of pharmacy services, we would be delighted to hear from you.
