About the Department and/or College: The Texas Tech University Office of Advancement works with a broad array of university supporters to identify and match opportunities at the university with the interests of donors, ultimately facilitating impact in higher education that leads to endless possibilities. Our professional fundraising team members are responsible for building meaningful relationships with donors through consistent interaction and meaningful visits that move them through the donor cultivation cycle. Texas Tech University recently announced the public phase of its first comprehensive campaign, On & On. The campaign is focused on philanthropic impact in four areas: Transform Lives, Fuel Academic Excellence, Elevate Campus & Community, and Build Champions. The campaign has a goal of raising $1.2B in philanthropic support before August 31, 2028.

Major/Essential Functions: • Oversee the execution of TTU Office of Advancement events with a focus on strategic events to include but not limited to principal and select campaign events (as needed/requested, such as gift announcements), donor/scholarship events, recognition events, and Office of Advancement staff events. • Coordinate and collaborate with Office of Advancement teams, Office of the President, colleges/schools/units and other related areas on events. • Develop and manage event budgets with efficient use of resources in the execution of events, following Advancement protocol and TTU policies and procedures. • Assist with the development of guest lists for select donor events such as donor/scholarship events, boutique events using the donor database and Microsoft excel to track, organize and prepare targeted lists for special donor events and engagement opportunities. • Prepare, manage and distribute event materials to designated staff and leadership, such as timelines, logistics, run-of-show documents, staffing plans, briefing documents, etc. • Oversee and execute entire event process from set up to tear down and manage contractors and vendors to ensure logistics are coordinated and completed. • In collaboration with the Donor Relations and Stewardship team, develop and maintain post-event follow-up process including but not limited to internal debrief meetings, internal and external recognition, appropriate data reporting, and meaningful follow-up touchpoints. • Manage the comprehensive Advancement events calendar. • Assists Donor Relations and Stewardship with other special projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Organized and detail oriented. • Excellent relationship management skills. • Ability to work with high-level university officials and donors. • Possess ability to deal with information of a confidential nature. • Self-motivated with ability to take initiative on projects and assignments. • Work collaboratively as a team. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to multi-task, as well as prioritize workload. • Ability to work nights and weekends.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in event planning and working with high profile donors and alumni. • Knowledge of TTU procurement and event related policies and procedures

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
