Manager - 3PL Strategy EMEA and APAC
Job Description: Position Overview: We are seeking a forward-thinking, transformation-driven leader to join us as 3PL Network Strategy Manager, EMEA & APAC. As part of the Global Supply Chain Excellence (GSCE) Team, the 3PL Network Strategy Manager will serve as the strategy owner for warehousing and logistics network optimization across EMEA and APAC with focus on 3PL warehouses. The role is accountable for designing, optimizing, and continuously improving the logistics network to deliver superior customer service, operational efficiency, and cost-to-serve performance. The role will lead network strategy development, warehouse footprint optimization, make-versus-buy assessments, 3PL logistics analytics, distribution network design, and business case validation. Working closely with regional business teams and Indirect Procurement, the role will ensure that warehousing and logistics decisions are driven by data, aligned with business requirements, and supported by robust operational and financial evaluations. As the GSCE subject matter expert, this role will establish standards, methodologies, governance frameworks, and analytical capabilities that enable fact-based decision-making and sustainable logistics performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Network Strategy & Design
• Own the end-to-end 3PL network strategy and optimization process across EMEA and APAC. • Define network strategy, project scope, evaluation criteria, and business requirements for warehousing and logistics initiatives. • Lead warehouse footprint and distribution network optimization initiatives, including location strategy, capacity planning, inventory positioning, and transportation flow design. • Design logistics solutions focused on operational efficiency, service excellence, cost optimization, scalability, sustainability, and system integration. • Establish and maintain network design methodologies, standards, tools, and governance processes. • Assure data-driven business cases, scorecard-based decisions and own final recommendations for network changes, investments, consolidations, expansions, and transformation initiatives. • Establish transparency across the 3PL network through standardized reporting of locations, volumes, capacities, costs, service levels, and KPIs.
3PL Strategy & Network Optimization
• Define the strategic role of internal and outsourced logistics capabilities within the regional supply chain network. • Lead demand validation and network requirement assessments to ensure logistics capacity aligns with business needs. • Own and facilitate make-versus-buy evaluations, determining the optimal deployment of internal operations and 3PL solutions. • Translate business requirements into operational, capacity, service, technology, and network specifications for logistics solutions. • Provide network design expertise and analytical support for RFPs and supplier evaluations by Indirect Procurement. • Evaluate logistics network scenarios to optimize cost-to-serve, spend, warehouse utilization, and customer service performance. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics simplification, network efficiency, resilience, and scalability. • Establish fact-based performance transparency and network analytics to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
: Distribution Network & Cost-to-Serve Optimization • Identify and implement opportunities to improve transportation efficiency while maintaining service commitments. • Lead cost-to-serve analyses and optimization initiatives across warehousing and transportation activities. • Evaluate trade-offs between service, inventory, transportation costs, warehouse costs, and network complexity. Data, Analytics & Supply Chain Modeling • Develop and maintain logistics network models and analytical tools to support decision-making. • Create visibility into 3PL performance, cost drivers, network utilization, and service outcomes. • Establish dashboards and reporting frameworks for network performance monitoring. • Partner with IT and Digital teams on data integration, visibility tools, and advanced analytics capabilities. • Drive fact-based decision-making through robust scenario analysis and performance benchmarking. Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management • Collaborate closely with Business Supply Chain teams to understand market requirements, demand profiles, customer expectations, and operational constraints. • Partner with Indirect Procurement by providing network requirements, operational expertise, business cases, and analytical support during sourcing activities. • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Finance, and Business leadership. • Lead logistics network transformation initiatives from concept development through implementation support. Capability Building & Best Practice Deployment • Establish and promote best practices, standards, methodologies, and governance processes across regions. • Support regional teams through coaching, training, and knowledge transfer. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field. • 8-10+ years of experience in 3PL Management, logistics, network design, supply chain strategy • Proven experience in network optimization and cost-to-serve analysis. • Strong analytical, financial, and business case development skills. • Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and analytics tools. • Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills. • Experience across EMEA and/or APAC preferred.

• Travel: 20-30% (as needed, depending on project requirements). • Language: English required; additional languages are a plus.
