Quality Engineer – MRB, RCCA & Composite Manufacturing
Job Description: Infosys is seeking a Quality Engineer – MRB / RCCA / Non-Conformance Management to support aerospace manufacturing operations through non-conformance management, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in manufacturing quality systems, defect analysis, MRB disposition processes, and composite manufacturing environments. The candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, operations, supplier quality, and production teams to investigate defects, improve non-conformance documentation, drive RCCA activities, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. You will be a key contributor in identifying process improvement opportunities, reducing defects, improving quality performance, and ensuring compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards. You will create detailed quality analyses, defect trend reports, Pareto reviews, and process improvement recommendations while supporting cross-functional teams in resolving production and quality issues. You will also help establish best practices that enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational excellence. Required Qualifications Candidate can be located anywhere in the U.S. This position will require travel to Kent, WA manufacturing facilities as needed.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field required. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • Minimum 8+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing quality, MRB, RCCA, CAPA, or related quality engineering functions. • Experience supporting non-conformance management and quality improvement initiatives in manufacturing environments. • Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and quality management systems. • Experience conducting defect analysis, Pareto reviews, and process improvement assessments. • Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality teams to resolve quality issues. • Ability to analyze production data and quality trends to identify improvement opportunities. • Experience supporting containment activities, concession reviews, and customer-driven quality investigations. • Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans, and process documentation. • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing quality processes and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
• Support non-conformance documentation, investigation, and disposition activities. • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) initiatives. • Improve the quality and effectiveness of non-conformance documentation and reporting. • Conduct defect analysis and Pareto-based reviews to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities. • Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. • Analyze production data and quality trends to generate actionable insights and recommendations. • Support containment activities, concession reviews, and customer-driven quality investigations. • Participate in shop floor troubleshooting and provide rapid engineering support to minimize production disruptions. • Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans, and process documentation to support MRB decision-making. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance, producibility, and manufacturing efficiency. • Participate in cross-functional review boards and communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders and management. Industry Experience Experience within aerospace manufacturing environments, including exposure to:
• Commercial Aerospace • Defense Programs • Composite Manufacturing • Honeycomb Structures Manufacturing • Production Quality Systems • Supplier Quality Management • First month will focus on: • Product familiarization • Defect understanding • Existing NCR (Non-Conformance Report) review • Process improvement opportunity identification
• Regular collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supplier quality teams. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with aerospace composite and honeycomb manufacturing processes. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and compliance requirements. • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and defect reduction programs. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently while driving cross-functional quality improvements. • Experience facilitating quality reviews and presenting recommendations to leadership teams. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, and face-to-face. Travel may be required as per business and project requirements.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows: In CA/ WA/NY/CO/MD/IL/MN/NJ: $73,000 to $102,200 In Washington, DC: $66,500 to $100,300
