Department: Development and Alumni Office Job Posting Details Position Overview: Reporting to the Assistant Director (Alumni), the appointee will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen relationships across the University’s global alumni community. In this role, he/she will design and deliver engaging programs that build lasting connections with alumni and cultivate early engagement among current students. By unlocking the power of the alumni network, he/she will drive tangible outcomes for HKUST across brand reputation, student career advancement, fundraising, and external outreach, building a dynamic ecosystem of mutual value.
Qualifications: Applicants should hold a good honors degree and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal and writing skills, alongside demonstrated expertise in external relations and event management. You must be creative, self-driven, and comfortable working under pressure. Flexibility for occasional after-hours events and business travel outside Hong Kong is required.
Duration: 2 years, renewable.
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
