Job Description Summary The Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability provides direct technical support to global GE Vernova Gas Power customers across three primary workstreams.
Job Description Key Responsibilities
• Own the technical resolution to multiple complex Controls system issues including Gas turbine and Steam Controls & Operability with a sense of urgency. • Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect our customers’ fleet, then communicate to the relevant audience (TILs, PSxBs, ETCs, OnTheGo alerts, etc.) • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Vendors, and/or Customers to provide sound technical resolution in a timely manner • Drive complex RCAs through root cause and corrective action while communicating both internally (field teams, GEV leadership) and externally to end customers • Lead and promote the GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles, and simplification into day-to-day activities
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in engineering from accredited university • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in controls/operations/engineering/ installation of Gas Turbines/Steam Turbines or relevant functions • Proven experience in a customer-facing or Engineering role • Strong oral and written communication in English language • This role requires around 10-15% within and outside of the region Desired Characteristics
• Proven experience with GE Vernova HA/F Class Gas turbines • Self-starter and resourceful problem-solver that can navigate the GE Vernova resource databases and organizations to deliver a solution, with urgency • Not afraid of being uncomfortable with the specific technical problem and willingness to apply engineering problem-solving methods to resolve the issue, under pressure • Ability to communicate at all levels (field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, GE Vernova leadership, etc.) • Ability to rapidly change directions for multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities • Expertise in ControlST application algorithms modifications, and turbine operational trend data analysis. • Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning • Strong oral and written communication in Arabic language
