Job Description Summary As Lead Field Service & Technical Advising Specialist-Generator, you shall be responsible for execution of Turbogenerator outages of own fleets as well as Other OEM fleets in SQDC (Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost) sequence.
Job Description Your Role/Responsibilities
• Working as Site Lead/Technical Lead for assigned Turbogenerator outages including dealing with all technical & safety matters related to outage execution, owning the customer relationship during outage duration, and driving customer issues resolution within outage schedule.
• Should be convergent with rotor repair as well as Stator repair work of GE fleet as well as other OEM fleets.
• Hands on experience related to overhauling of complete generator of GE fleet as well as other OEM fleets.
• Align towards outage execution excellence, including cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Sourcing, Project Management, Safety and Quality functions to achieve outage execution KPIs and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to compliance as per company standards, laws & regulations during outage execution.
• Interacting with vendor/customer for planning and execution of the outages
• Analysis & providing technical solutions to problems being encountered /identified by Thermal Power Utilities in consultation with Engineering.
• Support & create Methods Statements & Field Procedures Standards and project specific technical documentation to support outages for identified OEM Generator fleets.
• Ensure regular rigor towards site DMS to achieve field service outage milestones.
• Ensure consistent application of business tools and processes applicable to the scope of outages being executed.
• Follow Field Service Management processes for Generator Core services as well as Repair Outage.
• Uses technical experience for data analysis to support recommendations. Collaborates with internal and cross-functional resources to arrive at conclusions.
• Capture, report & implement outages best practices.
• Drive lessons learned and technical close-out with tangible outcomes/deliverables.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/or equivalent from an accredited university or college.
• Significant experience in the outage execution of large Turbogenerators, preferably on 100 MW and above.
• At least 7+ years of on-site field experience in executing Turbogenerator outages at various sites/customer.
• Excellent communication skills while interacting with internal/external customers for outage execution.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
Mobility Requirements:
• Shall be operating from Home/Desired Location under work from Remote policy for GE Vernova TFAs.
• Extensive travelling to thermal power stations mainly in India for outage execution.
Desired Characteristics
Technical Skills:
• Should have sound fundamentals and knowledge on Turbogenerator technologies with operational aspects of various fleets.
• Rich services exposure to Turbogenerator outage execution skills mainly on turbogenerators of 50 MW and above.
• Sound exposure to constructional features for successful outage execution and key deliverables.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS word/MS excel/MS Power Point) etc
• Sound understanding of time/cost control for assigned services outage execution related site activities of Turbogenerator Overhaul within assigned time & cost estimates.
• Exposure and knowledge on scheduling packages such as MS Project shall be preferred. Analytical skills to troubleshoot various operational problems of Turbogenerators.
• Exposure to outage execution process like outage planning/outage execution including site mobilization/execution of job along-with designated vendors/ outage closure/ Outage feedback & Lesson Learnt.
• Experience on Generator rotor & stator rewinding shall be added advantage.
