Job Description Summary The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) – Consortium is responsible for driving the full technical integration of GE Hydro products (Turbine, Main Inlet Valve, Generator, Hydro-Mechanical equipment, Governor, Balance of Plant, Control System, and associated tools) within a consortium-executed project. The role owns the overall technical project scope, ensuring consistency and alignment across all consortium partners' contributions, and manages all technical interfaces — internal, external, and across partner organizations. Acting as the senior technical authority for the project, the PEM represents GE's technical position to customers, partners, and consortium governance bodies, ensuring a unified and coherent technical narrative throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering execution through to site resolution and delivery. The role reports operationally and hierarchically to the PEM Leader, with a functional reporting line to the Project Director, and coordinates Lead System Engineers and, where applicable, technical counterparts within consortium partner organizations

Job Description Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete plant engineering team, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and regulatory obligations. • Drives engineering internal and consortium organization to meet expected results in terms of Safety, Quality, On-time-delivery and Cost-to-complete • Own the consolidated technical scope of the project, ensuring consistency and integration across all consortium partners' deliverables. • Partner with PSCM (Procurement/Supply Chain Manager) to meet project material cost targets and ensure safety/quality processes are applied across the consortium.

• Serve as the primary technical interface within the consortium governance structure, aligning technical positions across partner companies before presenting a unified position to the customer. • Manage and resolve technical and interface-related disagreements between consortium partners, escalating unresolved issues through appropriate governance channels. • Drive technical coordination with the Customer, Project Management, Engineering, and Consortium Partners, ensuring a single, consistent technical narrative. • Collaborate with the Project Core Team and consortium partner project leads to optimize integrated project plans.

• Drive technical support to site for engineering issue resolution, coordinating consortium partner input as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).

• Extensive experience in engineering, preferably turnkey electromechanical projects, with strong knowledge of Balance of Plant and Control Systems. • Engineering experience, preferably in turnkey electromechanical projects, including in project/system engineering roles. • Solid understanding of hydro power plant equipment and systems (turbines, generators, governors, balance of plant, control systems). • contract structures, and shared liability/interface management.

• Site experience (Construction & Commissioning). • Experience working across multiple countries/cultures or with international partner organizations. Desired Characteristics
