Job Description Summary GE Vernova is seeking a Sr Director – OT Cyber Security to define, lead, and operationalize the enterprise Operational Technology cybersecurity program spanning all manufacturing sites, labs, and OT-connected environments across GE Vernova's global business units. This highly visible leader will own the OT security strategy, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap — driving risk reduction across manufacturing operations while enabling operational resilience. The role requires close coordination across the CISO, CTO, and Business Unit DT organizations and demands a leader equally comfortable setting strategy and driving hands-on execution.
Job Description Strategy and Planning
• Define and maintain the OT cybersecurity program strategy. Develop long-term vision aligned to GE Vernova manufacturing and lab security objectives across all global manufacturing sites and enterprise-connected labs. • Establish OT-specific governance frameworks and security standards. Author and enforce minimum security requirements for OT network segmentation, access control, asset management, vulnerability management, and wireless controls. • Guide OT security investment and budget prioritization. Delivery and Execution
• Lead end-to-end delivery of OT security programs, including: network segmentation across manufacturing sites and labs; OT visibility and detection platform deployment. • Drive continuous asset inventory governance, enterprise-connected lab security formalization, and OT vulnerability management standard work. • Translate strategy into executable roadmaps. Manage program timelines, ensure workstreams are resourced and milestones tracked, and report progress to ELT. • Define and track OT security KPIs. People and Support
• Lead the global OT Cybersecurity team, and work closely with the CTO organization and the Business Unit DT Global Supply Chain Teams. • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating OT cyber risk into business-relevant insights and investment priorities for the DT Executive Leadership Team (ELT). • Partner across CISO, CTO, and Business Unit functions to balance safety, quality, delivery, and cost in all OT security decisions, including contingency planning for vulnerabilities that cannot be patched. Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering from an accredited college or university. • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Enterprise IT. • At least 5 years of the above experience to include leading employee direct reports. Desired Characteristics OT / Industrial Technology Subject Matter Areas
• Experience in OT/ICS network architecture and security, including Purdue Model implementation, Next-Gen Firewall deployment, VLAN segmentation, and OT DMZ zone design across manufacturing and lab environments. • Hands-on experience with OT asset management platforms, ServiceNow asset inventory integration, Qualys, CrowdStrike, and Splunk in OT/IT contexts. • Strong working knowledge of OT remote access security controls: Jumpbox architecture, multi-factor authentication, and HPA account management. • Experience with OT vulnerability management programs, including non-intrusive OT scanning, OEM-approved patching, compensating controls for legacy assets, and EVM standard work. • Experience managing cybersecurity for large-scale global manufacturing operations across multiple business segments. Leadership & Non-Technical Characteristics
• Proven strategic security leader with the ability to influence, build coalitions, and drive progress in matrixed organizational environments. • Ability to operate across CISO, CTO, and Business Unit DT organizations, clarifying roles, resolving governance gaps, and driving accountability. • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with instincts for root cause identification across technical and organizational domains. • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional). • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex OT security topics for executive and non-technical audiences.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $155,300.00 and $258,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
