We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Technician at our Indianapolis, IN site. The technician works closely with facility maintenance personnel, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain and improve building control strategies, diagnose system issues, and support capital and operational projects.
VISA sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. This role will be on site at the Corteva location.
What You’ll Do:
• Operate and maintain building systems including boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhausters, water treatment systems, and Building Management Systems • Utilize expertise in electrical, instrumentation, water and airflow systems, and controls systems to diagnose equipment problems. • Investigate and resolve Building Automation System alarms, communication failures, and control system issues. • Maintain accurate control system graphics, point databases, and network documentation. • Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, dampers, valves, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control devices. • Support greenhouse, research, laboratory, and facility operations.
Education:
• High school diploma or GED.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with building automation or facility controls systems. • Experience troubleshooting HVAC controls and automated building systems. • Working knowledge of electrical control systems, instrumentation, pneumatics, actuated valves, etc.
What Makes You Stand Out:
• Experience with Siemens Controls systems, specifically Desigo. • Strong understanding of the interconnectivity of industrial utility systems. • Knowledge of electrical controls, Building Automation Systems, and CMMS systems. • Experience supporting laboratory, greenhouse, and manufacturing settings.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occupied buildings. • Ability to distinguish wire colors and use diagnostic instruments. • Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when required. • Work Environment: This position operates in office, laboratory, industrial, and mechanical room environments. Occasional after-hours support may be required for critical facility systems, outages, commissioning activities, and emergency response situations.
