Cadence is seeking a Product Engineer to work closely with the FastSPICE R&D team on new technology development, product validation, and customer issue analysis. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality FastSPICE solutions by contributing to technology evaluations, debugging customer-reported issues, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance product performance and usability. Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the FastSPICE R&D team to support new technology development and product enhancements. • Analyze and troubleshoot customer-reported issues involving transistor-level circuit simulations. • Validate and test new product features, methodologies, and improvements. • Assist in reproducing, debugging, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with development teams. • Develop and execute simulation test cases to evaluate product functionality and performance. • Document findings, recommendations, and resolutions for internal teams and customers. • Communicate technical information effectively to engineering teams and stakeholders. Qualifications
• Basic understanding of MOS transistor-level circuit design and semiconductor fundamentals. • Hands-on experience with SPICE and/or FastSPICE simulation tools through coursework, research, internships, or industry experience. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Education & Experience
• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience, OR • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, OR Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with analog, mixed-signal, custom digital, or memory circuit design. • Exposure to EDA tools and simulation methodologies. • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl. • Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and circuit verification concepts. The annual salary range for California is $105,000 to $195,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
