• Ensure the safety and safe work practices of all employees and contractors on the project exploration team.
• Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures
• Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and systems, as well as all relevant legislation

• Lead by example and actively participate to achieve department and company goals and objectives
• Provide mentoring, guidance and leadership to Exploration Geologists and Field staff within the team
• Act as the Senior Exploration Geologist in their absence by directing and providing leadership to the team

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and take responsibility for own conduct and behaviour in the workplace
Knowledge / Skills / Duties
• Provide supervision of the exploration team encompassing, division of tasks, regular communication, and feedback, and assisting in the exploration geologist’s professional development.
• Ensure all aspects of exploration geology are carried out to current industry standards for the project, encompassing:
• Target generation
• Logistical planning
• Budget inputs and maintenance
• Supervise exploration work programmes
• Geological documentation (including table 1 of 2014 JORC code)
• Assist with regulatory documentation (e., Permitting, Annual Reports, and Assessments).
• Provide technical guidance to the geological team based at the exploration project.
• Provide requested input to overall company exploration plans
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of exploration activities
• Provide project leadership and maintain SLR confidentiality
Teamwork
• Communicate and promote effective cross functional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Work as part of a small team and actively contribute
Planning & Organisation
• Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by your Supervisor within required timeframes
• Be punctual to work and all required site meetings
Set tasks for Exploration Geologists, providing clear timeframes and expectations
Experience, Qualifications/Statutory Certifications and essential skills required
· Formal qualifications in Geology
· At least 2 years’ experience in an exploration geology role
· Some exposure to exploration and various exploration techniques
Working knowledge of exploration software
· Advanced Microsoft Office Suite use
· Valid G-Class driver’s license
