Job Title: Salt Company Resident
Reports To: The Salt Company Resident will report to the Salt Company Director
Job Overview: The Salt Company Resident will support Hill City Church’s objectives through the embodiment of the mission statement: together, we love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ. As a resident, you will gain experience in multiple ministry areas, but will specifically assist in carrying out the overall vision and strategies of Salt Company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Sunday Responsibilities:
• Assist with setup and teardown
• Connect with Salt Company students before church
• Identify and connect with new college students
• Assist HC staff as needed
Salt Company: 80%
• Evangelism and Discipleship
• Meet and recruit new students year round
• Oversee leaders in evangelism of unbelievers
• Oversee leaders in discipleship of new believers
• Help assimilate new students into the life and ministry of HC
• Plan and execute G101
• Plan and execute Bible Workshop
• Events
• Assist in execution of Leaders Weekend, Freshman Weekend, Midweek Kickoff, Fall Conference, & Salt Co. Conference
• Assist in scheduling and promotion of events
• Assist with event logistics and planning
• Assist with event resourcing - Bodies, Supplies, Money
• Invest in Salt Leaders
• Check-ins, meeting needs they have, support, encouragement, mentoring
• Lead a Core Group
• Invest in Serve Teams
• Assist with the onboarding and training of new leaders
• Thursday Midweek Gatherings
• Provide help at leader meetings
• Greet and connect with college students at Midweek
• Be an available hand where needed
Resident Requirements: 20%
• Create and complete personalized development plan
• Participate in weekly team meetings, 1-on-1's, and scheduled meetings
• Creation of and semi-annual evaluation of 6-month plan
• Training, organizational development, and processes required of all staff & residents
Qualifications:
• College education of at least two years
• Track record in serving through the local church
• Organized, self-driver who is able to take general direction and produce results
• Physically capable to participate in most activities in which college students participate
• Experience in working with a flexible job schedule
• Become a Covenant Member / remain in good standing as a Covenant Member of Hill City Church
Hill City's Residency Program Mission & Vision:
Hill City’s Residency Program exists to train, equip and send leaders to serve the Church.
The hope for Hill City’s Residency Program is that adults who desire to explore vocational ministry will get the opportunity to do so within the local church. After their time in the Residency Program, residents will be better equipped to serve the Church - whether vocationally or through serving as a high capacity leader. The Residency Program will help each individual better understand what they are called to do and how God has gifted them for ministry. As they are sent out of the Residency Program, residents will have a clear vision of where they are going and will be equipped to be effective leaders in the Church for generations to come.
