Salary: Circa £32,000 per annum -dependent on experience

Job Purpose:
The NNB Commercial Assistant is responsible, on any contract assigned to them, for providing commercial support to the Commercial Management Team.
Providing general commercial support to the NNB Commercial Management Team generally as described in the Principal Accountabilities below.
Dimensions:
Reporting to the NNB Commercial Manager.
Principal Accountabilities:
Providing support to the NNB Commercial Management Team in the following areas: Assessment and valuation of Contractor’s applications and the processing of payment certificates in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions. Administration of Task Orders, Compensation Events and Early Warnings.Monitor and report on commercial aspects of the contract and/or project flagging issues at the earliest opportunity to the Commercial Manager. Administration of commercial management tools including, but not limited to, CEMAR and SAP. At all times operate in accordance with IMS, rules, procedures to ensure that all contracts are administered within delegation of authority and the overall NNB governance / assurance regime.
Nature and Scope:
The NNB Commercial Assistant is an important role within the NNB Commercial Group with accountability to the Commercial Manager and in accordance with delegated levels of authority.
The NNB Commercial Assistant will be required to work closely and pro-actively with the other team members at all levels and across all the teams within Nuclear New Build to ensure that the requirements of the individual contracts and their impact upon the overall SZC Project are successfully delivered.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Have relevant work experience with ability to demonstrate a track record of successful contract administration/goods receipting. Experience of working as part of a team within a commercial environment. Good working knowledge of contracts, basic estimating, valuations, cost reporting and financial modelling is desirable. Good communication skills to command professional respect at all levels is essential. Key Competencies:
