Description of Post

The Assistant Lecturer in Civil Engineering will be part of an academic team within the Department of Building and Civil Engineering, ATU Galway. It is expected that the successful candidate will play an active role in the academic direction of civil engineering apprenticeship programmes including teaching, research, academic assessment, and academic administration.

The lecturer will be expected to deliver modules related to soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering on civil engineering programmes and contribute to course development, promotion and academic management in the Department.

Essential Qualifications

An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent. Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
