About this role
The Holyoke Public Schools is seeking substitute custodians to work as needed on a daily basis. Successful applicants will be placed on a call list and notified when work opportunities become available. Substitutes are at-will and temporary employees. Job Duties: Substitutes work as part of a team of custodians within a building to perform general cleaning duties. Custodians must operate equipment as required and must appropriately handle cleaning supplies. Job Requirements:
• strong verbal communication skills
• ability to work as a member of a team
• ability to take direction from supervisor
• ability to work independently with guidance or direction
• attention to detail
• ability to perform physical tasks such as mopping, sweeping, lifting trash cans, moving furniture, and other similar duties.
