Position Overview Ipswich Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and collaborative Long-Term Substitute Kindergarten Teacher for the Paul F. Doyon Memorial School (PK–5). Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate kindergarten instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum. Create a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth of all students. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with IEPs and English learners. Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, special educators, specialists, and support staff. Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. Fulfill all duties of a classroom teacher, including supervision, classroom management, and professional responsibilities. Qualifications Valid Massachusetts teaching license (or eligibility) in Early Childhood (PreK–2) or Elementary preferred; other appropriate licenses considered. Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Experience teaching kindergarten or early elementary preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
