Indoor Percussion Director (Supplemental) Unionville High School Salary $7,369.00 per year Position Summary: The Indoor Percussion Director will be responsible for managing and directing the Indoor Percussion Ensemble. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be completely knowledgeable of the indoor percussion activity.

• Work in conjunction with the Supervisor of Athletics to reserve rehearsal facilities.

• Work in conjunction with Transportation to schedule all transportation needs for the ensemble.

• Coordinate with custodians for any facility needs.

• Develop the season rehearsal/performance schedule and student membership documents.

• Register and complete all requirements to compete in a regional circuit (MAPS) and WGI.

• Develop a season budget for approval by UMBB.

• Work closely with UMBB to meet the needs of the ensemble and keep them informed of all activities.

• Develop and maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, staff, and administration.

• Act as the program coordinator to assist and facilitate design of the indoor percussion program including theme, musical selections, props, floor, and uniforms.

• Assist in the selection of and evaluation of the Battery and Front Ensemble Coordinators.

• Manage volunteer staff and ensure all necessary clearances and paperwork with the district are properly submitted.

• Oversee student auditions and instrument placement.

• Effectively communicate expectations and goals with students.

• Attend rehearsals, events, and

• Keep an accurate inventory of all equipment.

• Order all equipment and implements for the ensemble.

• Coordinate and plan effective rehearsals with the Battery & Front Ensemble Coordinators.

• Run full ensemble rehearsals in conjunction with the Battery & Front Ensemble Coordinators.

• Participate in at least 3 regular season regional circuit shows and a championship event.

• Attend the WGI Mid-Atlantic Regional and, when practical, WGI Championships.

• Prepare an end-of-season summary with recommendations for program maintenance or improvement.
