Indoor Percussion Assistant Director: Battery (1/2 position) - supplemental position Unionville High School Salary $2,316/ year Position Summary: The Indoor Percussion Battery Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and directing the musical and visual training of all sections of the battery percussion. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be completely knowledgeable of battery percussion playing and visual techniques.
• Develop/maintain and distribute a technique training program for students.
• Select ensemble members and instrument placement in conjunction with the Director.
• Develop and execute rehearsal plans for full battery and sub-sectionals in conjunction with the Director.
• Manage volunteer battery percussion staff in conjunction with the Director.
• Effectively communicate expectations and goals with students.
• Attend events and competitions.
• Advise director of ensemble equipment and ordering needs.
• Account for school property.
• Run full ensemble rehearsals in conjunction with Front Ensemble Coordinator and the Director.
• Prepare an end-of-season summary with recommendations for program maintenance or improvement. Submit report to director.
Position Specifications: Employee must have clearances: Act 114 (Federal Criminal History), Act 34 (State Criminal History), Act 151 (Child Abuse Criminal History), Act 24 (Arrest /Conviction Report and Certification Form), Act 168 form (Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure). Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification), Act 126 (Mandatory Reporter Training).
