Title - Lead – SEL Teacher (BMS) (Internal Only) (SY26-27) Reports to: Building Principal in collaboration with District Coordinators/Directors Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an experienced and appropriately licensed educator with demonstrated knowledge of social-emotional learning practices and a commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. The candidate should demonstrate strong collaboration, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. SEL Team Member Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation of schoolwide social-emotional learning (SEL) practices, programs, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and other staff to support students' social-emotional development and well-being.
• Provide support to students through individual and/or small-group SEL activities, lessons, check-ins, or other interventions as appropriate.
• Assist in identifying student needs and connecting students with appropriate school-based resources and supports.
• Support teachers and staff in implementing SEL strategies and practices within the classroom and school environment.
• Participate in SEL-related professional development, PLCs, faculty meetings, and other school or district learning opportunities as needed.
• Collaborate with members of the SEL team to share resources, strategies, and information that support consistent SEL practices across the school.
• Assist with the collection and review of relevant student information and feedback to help inform SEL programming and student supports.
• Help develop, organize, and distribute SEL resources and materials for staff and students.
• Support schoolwide activities and initiatives that promote positive school climate, belonging, relationship-building, and student engagement.
• Maintain appropriate documentation related to student support and SEL activities, consistent with school and district expectations.
• Responsibilities may extend beyond the regular school day/school year as needed.
