Title - Stipend - Youth-Led Cultural Empowerment Project Staff (CVLA) (SY25-26) (2 Positions) LOCATION: Chelsea Virtual Learning Academy (CVLA) REPORTS TO: Meg Maccini, Principal GENERAL DUTIES: Staff hired under this stipend will support the implementation of the Youth-Led Cultural Empowerment Grant funded through La Colaborativa. Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the planning and facilitation of monthly Healing and Craft Circles for students
• Assisting with preparation and execution of student-led workshops, arts activities, and storytelling sessions
• Supporting the Artist in Residence program with materials, logistics, and student engagement
• Assisting with planning and coordination of the culminating “Comparsa” performance and community gallery event
• Supporting student voice, leadership development, and participation in all project components
• Helping with setup, cleanup, and coordination of events and activities
• Collaborating with CVLA staff, guest artists, and La Colaborativa partners to ensure smooth program implementation
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to support hands-on arts, writing, or workshop-based programming
• Current CPS staff member or approved community partner (as applicable)
COMPENSATION: 15–20 hours expected. Compensation will be at the contractual hourly rate for teachers and paraprofessionals, or student rate for student workers.
