Job SummaryYou will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, AIR VEHICLE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SUBSYSTEMS DIVISION, and HYDRAULICS & PNEUMATICS BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band (DP-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical recommendations to aircraft programs related to Hydraulic systems for the purpose of technical improvements, qualification requirements, and operational risk mitigation; 2) Overseeing the functioning, qualification, and verification of hydraulic and related subsystem components; 3) Working individually or as part of a group to propose solutions to acquisitions and sustainment problems while being conscious of cost, schedule, and risks; 4) Managing competing workload priorities and effectively communicating engineering bandwidth; and 5) Demonstrating a thorough understanding of components, systems, schematics, and/or engineering documentation related to aircraft and hydraulics specifications.
