Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Providing policy and planning support to senior leadership (such as executives at the highest organizational levels or equivalent senior level decision makers) to assist in addressing organizational impacts and national level priorities; AND 2. Coordinating planning discussions, leading operational planning teams, and briefings to align organizational activities with strategic guidance and evolving mission needs; AND 3. Based on Joint Planning knowledge and experience, reviewing and evaluating operational plans to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with interorganizational frameworks; AND 4. Supporting team collaboration by conveying policy intent and offering recommendations that enhanced mission understanding and execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
Major DutiesProvide policy and planning input to organizational leaders to support understanding of national level issues and mission impacts.Review operational and strategic documents to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and alignment with interorganizational direction.Support the development of planning products by contributing analysis and recommendations that enhance mission clarity.Assist in deployment planning efforts by participating in discussions that inform operational policy and organizational response.Communicate policy intent through briefings and written materials to strengthen shared understanding across teams.Coordinate planning discussions and information exchanges to align organizational activities with strategic guidance.Collaborate with cross functional groups to address planning challenges and promote consistent implementation of strategic objectives.Maintain working relationships with mission partners to support coordination, information sharing, and planning integration.
