Job Title: Maintenance EngineerJob DescriptionThis role sits within the maintenance team and focuses on the repair, upkeep, and continuous reliability of industrial production machinery. You will perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on automated equipment such as waterjets, conveyors, stamping cells, and other production machines, ensuring minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations.Compensation

• $30 - $32 depending on years of experience and skill level Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial production machinery to minimize unplanned downtime. • Respond promptly to down machine calls and diagnose root causes of equipment failures. • Carry out electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on automated machinery, including waterjets, conveyors, stamping cells, and related equipment. • Repair and rebuild hydraulic components such as pumps, cylinders/rams, and hydraulic lines. • Independently troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on production equipment. • Edit and adjust Fanuc robotic teach points when required, ensuring correct motion and operation of robotic systems. • Support the repair and upkeep of multiple stamping cells and presses, addressing both hydraulic and mechanical issues. • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians across shifts to balance preventive maintenance tasks and share workload. • Work extended shifts, including 10+ hour days and regular weekend assignments, to support high-volume manufacturing operations. • Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while performing maintenance activities. • Document maintenance work performed and communicate equipment status to production and maintenance leadership. Essential Skills

• Ability to work midnight shift = 11pm-7am • Minimum of 4 recent years of hands-on machine repair experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Proven experience with hydraulics, including repair and rebuilding of pumps, cylinders/rams, and hydraulic lines. • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Capability to perform maintenance and repairs on automated machinery such as conveyors, waterjets, and stamping cells. • Ability to work 10+ hour shifts as needed. • Willingness and ability to work weekends regularly. • Comfort working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with frequent equipment interventions. • Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of PPE. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stamping or injection molding equipment. • Welding skills for repair and fabrication work. • Tooling experience, including adjustment, repair, or replacement of tooling components. • Familiarity with Fanuc robotics and editing Fanuc teach points. • Interest in further technical training, including electrical and PLC coursework. • Motivation to grow into higher-level maintenance or supervisory roles as opportunities arise. The plant operates 10–12 stamping cells, each with approximately six presses, creating a maintenance environment with frequent hydraulic and mechanical repairs. Maintenance coverage includes three shifts (1st: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 2nd: 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., 3rd: 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with two maintenance technicians per shift and plans to expand staffing. The facility typically runs 6–7 days per week, and team members can expect to work 2–3 Saturdays per month and extended 10+ hour shifts. Preventive maintenance tasks are distributed across all shifts to balance workload and ensure consistent equipment reliability. The environment involves working around stamping presses, conveyors, and other automated machinery with significant hydraulic and mechanical systems. The dress code includes jeans or work pants, with work shirts provided, and requires steel-toe footwear and safety glasses at all times on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Huron, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
